Once in a great while, a muse overtakes Janette, and she creates a side ficlet. They tend to happen later in the Black Widower universe and are shorter than the side fics that started off as side ficlets and became fics in their own right. Examples of side fics are:

The other characteristics these share is, alas, the muse comes and goes. Which means a lot of these are unfinished but if I ever feel the motivation to write more, I will post it here.

Only one of these ficlets, Love Cats, has been completed. The rest, well, are among the many story corpses that litter the literary landscape.
 
 

Eve is the story of Sylvie's origins. Sylvie is the Sire of Angelo and Amorette, and was Sired by Ardoin. So far, I only have one chapter of it done.

Special Delivery takes place around the same time as Pretty as a Picture. Angelo and his cousin Dimitri decide to order take out. Angelo is planning on a little bit of sex before the usual kill, but when he meets Shingo, the delivery boy, he finds that for once he doesn't know what he wants. This is another one that has languished. Again, if you like this and let me know, that might motivate me. Note: This fic contains incest but then again, if you know the story of Black Widower, that's a given.
 

Love Cats was based on a songfic that a friend sent me the lyrics to because she felt it would be perfect for my boys. I knew the song already and sure enough, it was perfect. It's the only songfic I've ever done and it will probably be the last one. It has LOTS of lemon. It's completed and a one shot.
