Kayobin Words and Phrases:

Kayobin is a culture much like Japanese. Kayobin is the language of the country and people of Kayo. (There are a few straight Japanese borrowings in Kayobin.)

Anou... = umm...

Arashimae = Thank you.

Daijou'ka? = Are you okay?

Darou kan'tawa, s'soto. = The money is waiting for you, don't worry (rest easy).

Hai = Yes

Itai! = ouch!

Kai'mono'din, lo. = (I believe) it is as you say.
kai = it is
mono'din = "one says" (formal) or "you say" (informal, common). Can be used in the sense of "as you say" or "if you say so."
lo = I believe

Kan'darou niki'awa? = Do you have the money you owe me?

Keh mo'hala din sei leido, ei. = Plug THIS in, you *&^$% (rough translation). Think impossible anatomical things involving computers.

Kentou'we = luck to you.

Koi'che = love (as in loved one).

Ko'si = dear one.

K'so = Fuck! (expletive).

Lasha'we tey'enado = Come home with me.

Na'hia deia'me = (?? who put this here?? ~ uh... translation pending)

Ne = no. Also used at the end of questions. (i.e. "You are a hunter, ne?" = You are a hunter, are you not?)

Nadé = the NightWalker equivalent of "ne."

Shikana = shit! Also abbreviated as shi or shika

Sheh'kasha we'no'ma ka da'sin. = Death knows your name.
Sheh'kasha = death
we'no'ma = your name
da'sin = (it) knows

Tai'sa = Whatever.

Te'nasha'we = Good night to you (sing.). (informal)
Te'nasha'sahe = Good night to you (plural).

Yama-ka daisei'to = Mountains would walk first.

'Yskoto 'yskinima, ko'si. Do'sin'taro 'ysmeide sa'din. = "To all things there is an end, my friend. Even unto love without bounds, it is said."

(Note: in Japanese, the "ka" indicates a question. This is not always the case in Kayo, where it has several grammatical uses.)

Names:

Cay is pronounced with a hard "c" and a long "i"
Romeio is pronounced "Ro-mey-o" not Romeo.
Sahng is pronounced like "sang" with a slight aspiration on the "h".
Skiimore = "sky-more"
Hi'alee'a = "high-ah-lee-ah"
